Elements of Health Schedule

Learn

Chinese medicine, taught as the spiritual science it was born as.

Almost nobody teaches it this way. Most force it into a Western frame or float off into the vague. This is the bridge: the classics, the physiology, and the spirit of the medicine, in plain language, starting free.

The term: three live courses, back to back

Chinese medicine school for anyone. Six weeks each, one class a week, 60 to 90 minutes, live over Zoom and recorded for anyone who misses a night. A week off between courses. Starting in January.

Course one. January

Foundations of Chinese medicine

Week one is yin and yang. Then one week per element, in the order the season gives us: Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal. How each one lives in the body, what it looks like when it's off, and what to do about it.

  • Six live classes, recorded
  • One point and one practice per week
  • Handouts you'll keep

Course two. Late winter

Herbalism

How Chinese herbs are chosen, combined, and matched to a pattern. The kitchen herbs you already own. What a formula is actually doing, and why "it's natural" is not the point.

  • Six live classes, recorded
  • Formulas explained piece by piece
  • Food as the first pharmacy

Course three. Spring

Stress and the nervous system

The two arms of the autonomic nervous system, the vagus nerve, and the three Chinese patterns that map onto them. Breath, sleep, the gut, and what to do when the system is stuck on.

  • Six live classes, recorded
  • Mechanism next to the old map
  • A practice you leave with
