How a first visit goes
A free 15-minute call, if you want one
Tell me what's going on. I'll tell you honestly whether I can help and what it would look like.
The new patient visit, about an hour
Your full history, your medications and supplements, any labs you have. Then tongue and pulse, a physical exam, and your first treatment.
A plan you can read
What I found, in plain words. How many visits I expect, which herbs or supplements if any, and what to change at home.
Follow-ups, 45 minutes
We track what's changing and adjust. I'd rather discharge you early than keep you coming.
Visits and prices
Phoenix prices. Herbal formulas, supplements, lab orders, and point injection therapy are priced separately and discussed before anything is added. Syracuse visits for December 8 to 15 are booked on the same page.
Common questions
Does acupuncture hurt?
Most people feel a tap, then a dull heaviness or a small spread of warmth. The needles are far thinner than the ones used for shots. Many people fall asleep on the table.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on how long something has been going on. A recent injury often settles in a few visits. A condition you've had for years takes longer, and I'll say so at the first visit. We review the plan every time.
Can I keep seeing my doctor?
Yes, and I'd prefer it. I work alongside your medical care, not instead of it. Bring your labs and your medication list. If I think you need something I don't do, I'll tell you.
What should I do before a visit?
Eat something light within a few hours. Wear loose clothes you can roll up past the knees and elbows. Skip coffee right before if you can, because it changes the pulse.
Is chiropractic the same as acupuncture here?
They're two licenses and two tools. Some visits are only needles. Some are an adjustment and soft tissue work. Many are both, because structure and circulation affect each other.
